Worse yet, maybe you’ve opted to stay home and avoid socializing just so you don’t have to say “I can’t eat that” or “I have special needs”. That’s where we come in.  We’ve been there. We understand what it’s like to get ‘that look’ when we mention what we can’t eat.

We understand the deep longing for the foods that make you feel so bad.  And we understand what it’s like to be so frustrated and angry that it “has to be this way”.

Well the truth is… it doesn't!

I’m Peter Donald, and with my wife Julie, we’ve been helping people leave their food intolerances behind over the last 8 years.  

I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and at my worst couldn’t eat almost every food you can think of.  I was completely confused, frustrated and felt awful on a day to day basis.

Nowadays, If I accidentally eat gluten at a restaurant I don’t even notice.  My egg, dairy and corn intolerances are completely gone and I eat these foods on a regular basis.

And what I want you to know if you don’t read another word on this page is that you have NOT been given a LIFE SENTENCE to miss out on the foods you LOVE.  

I’ve helped countless others just like you and me return to the carefree lives they used to eat.

Here Are Four Strategies That Don’t Work - Yet Most People Try Them Anyway:

1. Elimination diet

Have you ever tried an elimination diet? Or read about them?

I tried them years ago and I can tell you they’re PAINFUL. They’re tedious and downright difficult to get right. A typical elimination diet takes out gluten, dairy, soy, eggs, corn, pork, beef, chicken, beans/lentils, coffee, citrus fruits, nuts, and nightshade vegetables.

That doesn’t leave a whole lot of things you CAN eat.

Elimination diets can be useful to pinpoint what you’re reacting to. But at the end of the day they don’t address any root causes.

The sole result of an elimination diet is to remove some foods from your diet permanently. 


2. Creams for Skin Rashes

The skin is the first area of the body that will show ill health and always the last to heal. Not everyone who has food intolerances shows on their skin but about 50% of the people we’ve seen do.

People who have had skin issues as a result of their food intolerances have almost always been prescribed steroids to “fix” the issue. It’s usually something like hydrocortisone cream or prednisone.

Steroids can provide temporary relief from itching and redness, but over time, they actually weaken your skin, making you more vulnerable in future. They do not address the cause of the problem. In fact, they actually mask the underlying issue and if the breakout does disappear it will likely come back worse each time you use one of these creams. 


3. Antacids for reflux

Belching, Burping, Bloating, and pain in your belly after eating really suck. These are all signs from the body that you have one or more inflammatory fires raging on your insides. These inflammatory problems cause all manner of immune system and hormone system issues.

But you often feel it as heartburn, pain or burning in the chest. The natural assumption is that you need something to reduce the acidity in your stomach.

You go down to the pharmacy or supermarket and buy an antacid. That takes the pain away. But next time you eat it’s back. And it gets worse over time.

Antacids reduce the discomfort of reflux but they don’t address the root cause. In fact, they actually make the problem worse! If you keep eating them to make the pain go away you will most likely end up with more and more food intolerances over time. 


4. 80-20 Cheating Diets

The other thing that never fixes or takes care of the pain of food allergies is going on an 80-20 diet. Some people like to think that they can go all month without their food intolerance and then reward themselves with snack or meal that they know hurts them.

Then they spend the next day or so recovering and being upset that they have this issue in the first place. The truth is it sucks to not eat your favorite foods. I know because I’ve been there. But the other truth is that you can’t just randomly reward or cheat with your food allergies because your gut will never heal.

Now I get it, I started by saying it doesn’t work to just stop eating all the foods at once and now I’m saying don’t cheat or reward yourself. And the reason is because it’s likely you can actually return to eating your beloved foods if you follow some sensible ideas to actually fix the root cause of your food allergies.

More on that in a moment. 

3 Things You Can Do Right Now To Change Your Food Intolerances


1. Take Apple Cider Vinegar or Hydrochloric Acid capsules for reflux

When you have heartburn it feels like you have too much acid. You might take an antacid for the pain. This will usually work for a short time and reduce your pain. The problem is that you’re working AGAINST your body. Most people who experience reflux have low stomach acid. When you take an antacid, you’re neutralizing the less-than-optimal acid you already have. This will probably take your pain away, but it’s making your underlying problem worse.

If instead you ADD acid to your stomach, it will usually take your pain away, and this time you’re working WITH your body.

Try taking a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) in some water with your meal. Make sure your ACV has “with the mother” on the label. Shake the bottle well before using. If you still have reflux after your meal, take some more ACV. Limit the amount of water you take. The less water, the more concentrated is the acid. If the ACV doesn't work you can try a stomach acid supplement with Betaine HCL and pepsin.


2. Take some Digestive Enzymes

Digestive enzymes are designed to take up the slack in your digestive system. They break down carbohydrates, proteins and fats so your body can absorb them easily. If you are having food allergies at all it’s highly likely that your gut isn’t working right.

Try taking 1-2 broad spectrum digestive enzyme capsules with each meal. It’s a cheap and effective insurance policy that could really help your quality of life right now.

Digestive enzymes won’t heal your root causes, but in the short term, they will help you have a better relationship with your food.


3. Identify and treat the root causes of your food intolerances.

There are at least 6 root causes of your food intolerances. Some people only have one of these, some people have several. We’ve even worked with a few who had all 6 of them.

The good news is that no matter which ones you have there’s a solution!

These root causes are actually the source of your health problems. Not your crampy stomach, or your diarrhoea, or your acid reflux.

To become healthy again it’s really a 3 step process. First, we need to figure out which of the 6 root causes you have. Second, we need to heal and reverse any damage these problems have caused you. Third, we need to reintroduce the lost foods and see how you do.

The 6 most common root causes of food intolerances are:

  • Low stomach acid
  • Nutritional deficiencies
  • Toxicity
  • Digestive Integrity
  • Parasympathetic tone
  • Genetics

Finding out your root cause(s) can mean the difference between successful treatment. Or being stuck with one of those four options we discussed at the beginning.

There are proven tests and ways for you to figure out if you actually have these root causes. It’s not a random guessing game. There’s a method to checking for these issues and reversing them if they exist in you.

Once we’re able to identify and correct them, food intolerance symptoms improve dramatically.
